The chewing surfaces of back molars are covered in deep grooves — perfect traps for food and bacteria that a toothbrush can’t fully reach. Sealants fill and seal those grooves with a thin protective coating, dramatically reducing cavity risk in the years when children are most susceptible.
Permanent molars erupt naturally with microscopic structural depressions known as pits and fissures. The Preventive Sweet Spot
Your child's first permanent adult molars break past the tissues. Sealing them immediately ensures these lifelong foundation teeth are protected against early school-age decay pressures.
The second set of permanent adult molars enters the rear arches. Seal these elements as soon as they achieve full vertical accessibility to maintain consistent protection across the entire arch.

Micro-Restorative Workflow
The target molar surface is thoroughly cleaned and dried. No drilling or structural alteration is performed. Total isolation is completed to ensure the field stays dry.
A mild conditioning gel is applied briefly to the chewing surfaces. This shapes out a microscopic texture pattern that helps the sealant bond securely, then it's rinsed off cleanly.
The fluid, liquid resin material is painted into the deep grooves. We use a blue curing light to set the material instantly, creating a hard, safe barrier shield.
The entire process takes 1 to 2 minutes per tooth. Your child can eat and drink immediately. Sealant boundaries are double-checked at every subsequent checkup visit.
We systematically check sealant eligibility parameters during every routine 6-month hygiene appointment. We seal newly emerged molars immediately without requiring a separate visit.
Sealant interfaces undergo checking at every single cleaning block. If a margin shows wear or chips away after years of heavy biting, we re-apply it smoothly to maintain continuous protection.
